How To Share a Load For Smart in Philippines

Prepaid load sharing, commonly referred to as “Pasaload,” allows subscribers to send load credits to other Smart or Talk ‘N Text (TNT) subscribers. When purchasing load isn’t possible immediately, you and your loved ones can stay connected. A comprehensive guide to using Pasaload can be found here.

Understanding Pasaloa

The Pasaload service allows Smart and TNT subscribers to share their prepaid load credits within the same network. There are situations in which this service is especially useful, such as emergencies or when the recipient is unable to purchase load on their own.

Pasaload transactions are exclusive to Smart and TNT networks; load transfers to other networks, such as Globe and TM, are not supported.

2 Methods to Share a Load For Smart

Pasaload offers several ways to share loads:

1. Via SMS (Text Message):

The most straightforward method for transferring loads is this one.

  • Step 1: Open the messaging app on your phone.
  • Step 2: Write a new message using one of the following formats:
  • Format 1: Using PASALOAD [Recipient’s 11-digit mobile number] [Amount] For example: PASALOAD 09123456789 20
  • Format 2: [Recipient’s 11-digit mobile number] [Amount] Example: 09123456789
  • Step 3: Send a message to 808.
  • Step 4: A confirmation message will be sent to you. To complete the transaction, you must respond with “YES” within 15 minutes. Reply with “NO” or ignore the message if you do not wish to proceed.

  • Step 1: Install the GigaLife app.
  • Step 2: Sign in to your account.
  • Step 3: Select “Pasa” from the bottom menu.
  • Step 4: Select the recipient from your contacts or enter their mobile number.
  • Step 5: Select “Pasa Load” or “Pasa Points.”
  • Step 6: Choose the amount to transfer.
  • Step 7: Verify the transaction.

Note: There is a $1 service fee for transactions through the GigaLife app.

Pasaload Denominations and Validity

A transferred load’s validity depends on its amount:

Pasaload for Smart Postpaid Subscribers

Pasaload is also available to postpaid subscribers. On top of your monthly service fee will be the amount transferred plus the $1 service fee. The amount that can be transferred each month is limited in order to prevent abuse:

  • ₱300 Cap: Plans with monthly service fees less than 1,200. (Pasaload is not available on Freedom plans.)
  • ₱500 Cap: For plans with a monthly service fee exceeding $1200.

Every month, these caps are reset.

Alternative Method: Requesting Load (Ask-A-Load)

You can request load from another Smart or TNT subscriber:

Step 1: Dial 808 followed by the 11-digit mobile number of the person you’re requesting load from. Example: 80809123456789.

Step 2: The recipient will get a notification and can approve the request by replying with “YES.”

Conclusion

Pasaload is a convenient way for Smart and TNT users to share prepaid load, ensuring connectivity during emergencies or when purchasing load isn’t possible. With easy SMS and app-based methods, staying connected has never been simpler.
